This graduate-level course focuses on machine learning for nontraditional data, particularly text, networks, and images. Topics include web scraping, text processing, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, network analysis, and shallow and deep learning, with applications implemented primarily in Python or R.

Topics include one- and two-sample hypothesis tests for means and proportions, chi-squared tests, linear regression, analysis of variance, and nonparametric rank-based methods, with emphasis on selecting appropriate statistical procedures and interpreting results.
